Annual Events
Annual events at DMHA are listed in the school calendar. In addition, DMHA has numerous functions and national events.
Book Day
A schools first event starts with book days. Before the new academic session starting different dates are selected class wise for the parents to come and collect their child’s books from the school. This year some students accompanied their parents to collect their books with lots of excitement while receiving their new books.
DMHA Student’s pays homage to Language martyrs
DMHA students walk barefoot, singing songs of patriotism to pay homage to the Language Movement martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for our mother tongue marking a day of supreme sacrifice.
Father of the Nation’s birthday, National Children’s Day being observed
With solemn respect and honour the Birthday of our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman and the National Childrens’ Day is observed at DMHA annually. An Art Competition is held for all classes.
Independence Day celebrations, March 26
26th March is the most important day in the history of Bangladesh. Students gather on the school roof top for an assembly while the national flag is hoisted followed by an art competition by the students.
Celebrating PohelaBoishakh
DMHA teachers and students celebrates the first day of Bangla New Year, PohelaBaishakh, by holding a variety of programmes for example by organizing a cultural programme along with offering the parents, students and teachers traditional food items and sweets.
Annual Athletics
DMHA celebrated its Annual Athletics in its school premise.The opening was enlightened by the P.T. performed by the students which was followed by a range of sports completions of many events. Also there is a guest event arranged for the parents, guardians and teachers every year. Lastly, the students receive their medals. The Occasion ends with the National Anthem and a vote of thanks by one of the Directors.
15th August The National Mourning Day
The National Mourning Day is observed by DMHA on 15 August every year. The school expresses its respect for the departed soul of the Father of the Nation – Bangabandhu Sheikh MujiburRahman. The programme begins with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by singing the National Anthem. A speech on the sacrifices of the Father of the Nation is delivered by one of the Director. Students expresses their respect through a competition that will be held on that day.
Annual Cultural Programme
All the students present the Annual Cultural programme with confidence and flair in varied colourful costumes. Children perform different dance, drama and music during the programme. All our parents and guest stay present and encourage their children while they perform.
16th December
This day is celebrated all over the country and the world. DMHA also celebrated beginning with a brief discussion on the occasion by one of the Directors and followed by a cultural and painting programme.
Founder’s Day
DMHA observed its first founder’s day on 1st of April 2019. The founder’s day in a school is very important. Founders’ day programme in our school is the death anniversary of Dr. Mahmud Hasan. Students and teachers pay tribute to our founder every year on this day. The programme starts by keeping one minute silence to pay respect for our founder. One of Director shares his mission of setting up DMHA. Later his family member shares many memories about him. Some of our parents also show their gratitude towards our founder for setting up such a wonderful school.
